雖然看上去留下格林（Draymond Green）是勇士今夏最重要的任務，但要以怎樣的價格留下巴恩斯（Harrison Barnes）卻很頭疼，不過至少最新的情況來看，雙方都有意繼續合作下去。

勇士在2012年的選秀堪稱經典，分別以第7和35順位選到巴恩斯和格林，他們目前都在勇士佔據重要的位置。

西區決賽第五場，巴恩斯打出季後賽生涯的代表作，得到24分。總決賽，他也是勇士防守詹姆斯（LeBron James）的重要人選。

本賽季巴恩斯的年薪為304萬美元，下賽季的年薪為387萬美元。勇士希望在今年夏天同前鋒巴恩斯提前完成續約，新合約的年薪可能在1000萬美元到1200萬美元之間。

巴恩斯可能參考公牛球星巴特勒（Jimmy Butler）的做法，第三個賽季拒絕公牛4年4000萬美元的續約報價，然後在下一個賽季打出了頂薪的水準，可得到更高的薪資。
